UEMK is great, please come and join.
Placements: More or less, 80% students are placed. The highest package is 48 LPA. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Deloitte, and others. The college especially looks into internships and encourages students to take internships in various fields. The top role is mostly software engineer.
Infrastructure: Great infrastructure. Labs are well maintained. Wi-Fi is average. Classrooms are well and good, maybe great, and air conditioning is there. Hostels are great, but they are far from the college. The canteen in college is great, and all types of foods are available.
Faculty: Teachers are strict and friendly in nature. They are very helpful and knowledgeable, and their teaching skills are great. The course curriculum is relevant, and students are fully ready for the industry. Semester questions are set by top faculty members from various colleges.
Other: UEMK is great.

Most faculty members are humble and good, while some are not. They have a bad campus.
Placements: A good number of students, around 85%-90%, got placed, while some choose not to sit for placements. Cognizant, Tata, and Infosys are top recruiters. Around 45% of students secured internships. Developer is the most offered role in CSE, B.Tech. It is a good college for study and placements. For students who are seeking for good college life, this college is not for them.
Infrastructure: I am not a hosteller, but I know the campus rules are quite strict. We can't go out before time, it's like a 9 to 5 job. There are no free periods. Students can't go out even during lunch breaks. Hostellers have told me they are not permitted to go out after 7 PM. There is no hostel life. It's good that there is zero tolerance for ragging.
Faculty: Most teachers are helpful and some are so strict that students don't ask their doubts to them. Most students prefer to study from YouTube, etc. Semester exams are about 8 out of 10 in terms of difficulty. Some professors are very good and humble we can ask doubts, and they solve our problems very calmly and perfectly. But some of them are almost opposite to them.
Other: B.Tech CSE is the best course here. Most companies recruit students from this course. Campus has too many students and it is very bad and small.

My honest review of my college.
Placements: I think around 70% of the current batch students were placed in a well-to-do company. But many couldn't because of the lack of job offers and companies that are not currently looking to employ people. Top recruiters were Cognizant, Infosys, and TCS. All types of roles were offered, both technical and non-technical. For internships, students have to look for them themselves because companies don't visit our college to hire interns.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is small but sufficient. Everything a student could ask for other than a bigger campus is there in our college. Wi-Fi, classrooms, library, gym, canteen, hall, etc., are all provided by the management. Out of 5, I would give it a 3 because of the slow Wi-Fi speed and the quality of classrooms.
Faculty: All the teachers taking our classes are qualified and knowledgeable. The curriculum is quite relevant, but I don't think it's very helpful. Students have to work their way through to get a proper job. The college won't provide you with all the necessary things you need. At the end of the day, it's all up to you.

Comprehensive facilities with a focus on comfort, health, and holistic development.
Placements: Around 90% of students are placed in our course. The highest salary package varies widely. The average salary package is calculated by dividing the salary offered by the number of placed students. It provides an idea of the median offering. Percentage of students who secured internships is typically high, with reputed institutions achieving an 80-90% internship rate. Top companies offer internships frequently, with those recruiting for full-time roles.
Infrastructure: The quality of hostel facilities varies depending on our institution, but in well-established institutions, they are typically well-maintained and student-friendly. Hostels generally provide essential amenities like cleaning. The mess and canteen facilities usually cater to diverse tastes and dietary preferences. While the quality of food may vary, efforts are made to provide nutritious and hygienic meals, often with multiple cuisines to suit a variety of palates.
Faculty: They are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good. Course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are a bit difficult. Pass percentage is 50%. Teachers are very friendly with students.

Review of UEM Kolkata - University of Engineering and Management.
Placements: This is what made UEM special. The faculty rating is 4 out of 5 because, in Kolkata, there are colleges with an average package of 3 or 3.5 LPA. The college claims 99% placements, but it is 30-70%. In 2024, Jaypee Morgan hired some students with a salary package of 20 LPA. A student got placed at Amazon with a salary package of 48 LPA. When it comes to placement in Kolkata, UEM is the best college.
Infrastructure: There is the worst campus in Kolkata. Many colleges are spread over 100 acres of land. Our campus is spread over 2 acres of land but on the internet, it shows 3 acres. It is not true. Our college has 3 buildings with 4 floors. They are interconnected. UEM has 4 different hostels in different places. There are 2 boys' hostels and 2 girls' hostels. They just lend a building outside anywhere in Kolkata, and make it as a boys' hostel. There is no college life to enjoy. This is the worst part. The college is till 7 PM. It is a headache for an engineering student.
Faculty: The faculty of UEM gives students a reality check while teaching. We have extra subjects, which I like because they train students' minds like aptitude and logical reasoning. It improves students' general brain power.
Other: Our college does not conduct extra activities.

I am not satisfied because of placements.
Placements: In our course, this year 50% of students were placed. I don't know about the package limits. The highest and lowest salary packages offered range between 3 LPA - 9 LPA. TCS, Cognizant, and Wipro are mass recruiters. Around 10% of students got internships at TCS and Wipro. Top roles offered are software engineer and backend engineer.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are okay, but air-conditioners are a benifit. Labs are quite good. Computer labs are very good. The library is decent with all facilities. Hostels are expensive but average. The quality of the food in the canteen is average. The mess is not good. Medical facilities are average. There is no place for sports and games. We have a ground and basement for basketball.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is moderate here. Students also need self study to keep up with the teaching. Course curriculum is not relevant much here. Students are not made industry-ready. Semesters are difficult here. Pass percentage is about 70%.
Other: I chose this course because I like developing something on my own. The best thing about our course is its versatility. We can migrate to any field from this course. Events are good here. The campus crowd is huge. Scholarships are decent. Extracurricular activities are conducted in our college.
